DANFOSS case
The heating and cooling leader, Danfoss, was planning to market a new device for homeowners – in one variant only. Then they were introduced to EQATEC, who showed them how they can mass produce the device and handle thousands of device variants at a very low cost. EQATEC Options Management System (EOMS) was integrated into the device as well as with Danfoss ERP systems. As a result, the new device is suitable for release in several additional markets, and Danfoss has achieved mass customization at a very low cost.
